Polar Heart Rate Monitor & Walk4Life Pedometer Training Instructors receive training in Walk4Life pedometers and Polar Heart Rate Monitors in their classes. This allows teachers to assess student and class performance while safely motivating students with instant feedback. |
Each instructor will receive a subscription and resources to MyStationPE.com. This site provides a wealth of information and activities for PE instructors. |

Physical Education Curriculum Training Physical Essentials: Students will respect self and others, develop, demonstrate and understand fundamental movement skills and health related fitness components. |
Teachers will be provided with English as a second Language Strategies that will address student participation rates. |

Teachers are offered nutritional workshops that address the eight components of the KS Coordinated School Health Program: Health Education, PE Education, Health Services, Nutrition Services, Counseling, Psychological and Social Services, Healthy School Environment, Health Promotion for Staff and Family and Community Involvement. |
Family Fitness and Wellness Nights Districts will develop family fitness and wellness nights which will create and utilize community health coalitions in their districts. Each will receive materials and instruction by making use of the PE4Life's Community Action Kit. |
