Exciting news! To provide more opportunities to earn additional MNU continuing education credits for courses you complete with SWP, we have adopted a new STAR program. In the past, most courses required an MNU general assignment, which will no longer be used. Going forward, we will use the STAR assignment.
Why the STAR assignment? It is a great opportunity for our teachers to earn additional continuing education credits if you so desire. To receive credit from MNU for a SWP course, you only need to complete part one of the STAR assignment. STAR, part one, looks the same as the general assignment we have used in the past. STAR parts 2-5 are optional, and allow you to earn up to 2.5 additional continuing education credits by applying the new knowledge, skills, and practices you learned from the course. These additional parts involve application, impact, and assessment utilizing the new course information in the classroom. You have up to one year from the course date to complete the optional STAR parts.
All courses offered by SWP will require the STAR assignment (only part one) to receive credit from MNU, except for book studies. If you have any questions about the STAR assignment, please contact MNU at med@mnu.edu.
