What is LETRS®?

LETRS® (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling) helps teachers apply The Science of Reading research to classroom practice allowing them to teach language and literacy skills to every student, no matter the curriculum or program your district uses. LETRS® is aligned to the International Dyslexia Association’s Structured Literacy Standards and develops teaching practices that prevent and remediate reading difficulties for ALL students.

Why LETRS®?

Both teaching reading and learning to read are complex, but failure is unnecessary! LETRS® incorporates decades of research on how students learn to read and how reading should be taught. Teachers will learn how to incorporate all the areas of reading and literacy as detailed in Scarborough’s rope, including oral language and writing.
